Competent to Counsel

Competency Based Counselling (CBC) has been called “Counseling for the Common Man” (or woman). Instead of giving quick advice or trying to fix problems for others, the helper listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and prompts the person to reflect on their past experiences and successes. This process helps our brother or sister take personal responsibility and make better decisions.

CBC is especially helpful for elders and shepherds because it provides easy-to-use tools that can make a big difference in a short amount of time.

Retreat Dates are Friday, October 31 - Sunday, November 2

Cost: $140/couple, which will be charged to your home church
